SSHI has created a venue for the publication of scholarly research in social science history through the Stanford Studies in Social Science History series of the Stanford University Press.

So far this series includes four volumes:

• Jeremy Baskes (2000), Indians, Merchants, and Markets.

• Edward Beatty (2001), Institutions and Investment.
  

• Noel Maurer (2002), The Power and the Money: The Mexican Financial System, 1876-1932.
  

• William Summerhill (2003), Order Against Progress: Government, Foreign Investment, and Railroads in Brazil, 1854-1913.
